Lore: Edit

"The Dark Eldar are kindred to the Eldar, an ancient and advanced race of elf-like humanoids. Their armies usually have the advantages of speed and technology, though they are often lacking in resilience and numbers. The Dark Eldar revel in piracy, enslavement and torture, and are sadistic in the extreme. Dark Eldar raiding parties make use of advanced anti-gravity skimmers to launch high speed raids on their enemy while still transporting a large number of their warriors. Due to their use of the galaxy-spanning inter-dimensional labyrinth known as the Webway, they are extremely mobile, striking from seemingly nowhere, with little or no warning, and vanishing with their captives before significant military reaction can be mobilised.

The Dark Eldar are unique amongst the races in the sense that they do not occupy many planets, but rather one dark city called Commorragh. They are mainly pirates, though are sometimes used as mercenaries.

Asdrubael Vect is the supreme overlord of the dark city of Commorragh and of the Dark Eldar as a whole. The term "Dark Eldar" also comes from him, being the first one to openly refer himself with "Eladrith Ynneas" in M32."

Do you like fast attacks, pirating and hitting hard while unseen? Do you like a faction which can insta build structures lightning fast and cripple enemies via powerful abilities? This race is for you.

The Dark Eldar is the only faction that contains global like abilities used by the soul resource. The soul resource can be gained by either constructing Slave Chambers, constructing Soul Cages, harvesting corpses with builder units or Talos's, or build Slave Chamber addons and eject a dead slave, allowing builders to harvest souls straight from your base.

The Dark Eldar is one of the toughest and fastest races in early game and acts very similar to Eldar. Not as fast as Tyranids, you can allow your units to be teleported around the globe via Portals or garrison some units in your HQ and deepstrike them from wherever you can see! Just like the Eldar race, the Dark Eldar can also research the "Foot On Fire" research that allows every single infantry unit to move at lightning speeds throughout the map, making Strategic Points easier to capture.

The Dark Eldar's research and upgrades are at a phenominal selection of choice compared to other factions. Over 60 selections of both research and addons can be used, and thusly, all of them either allow items or upgrade most units depending on what they do.

The Dark Eldar's strengths are in numbers and crippling morale for them is really simple unlike other factions. They can have stealthed buildings, they can relocate buildings, and finally, once they get the Great Kabal Citadel, the toughest super structure in the entire game, your enemies are therefor done for. This allows the Dark Eldar to see the entire map, ruin other players defenses, set up a heavily fortified defensive position that will damage all enemies in the area and protect allies, plus finally contains the ability to summon the Soul Cataclysm win button. The cheapest win button, but one of the most time consuming ones.

Their selection of units compared to other factions are average, ranging from many melee units to moderate amounts of ranged units.
